Do you remember Al of Al's Cycle Shop on Summer Ave.? That may have been before your time.
My dad and I loaded up my Cushman and took it down to Memphis to Al's to trade it for a Honda. This was around 1964.
Al himself got on my Cushman and rode it down Summer Ave to check it out.. He came back mad as heck. I didn't tell him the rear brakes didn't work.
I think he offered $75 for it on trade. We loaded it back up and came home.
