They are not all rtr, they had an ARR and a kit with all the racing hop ups. The companies that have larger followings are more appealing because they have aftermarket support, sponsor racers and people buy whatevers popular anyway. If you notice a lot of racers drop whatever they have to get the newest thing even if there already winning its just how things are. Im not saying the Turmoil is the best buggy or of the same quality but you get a little ridiculous downing anything that you dont deem worthy.
our locals have the Race Roller version and it's nothing like the 8ight Race Roller. I'm tired of people saying that just because you own an 8ight or RC8, that you're just jumping on the bandwagon...i know i bought the 8ight because my LHS has a lot of parts for them AND they're popular for a reason, they're one of the best buggies out right now. Why go with a different buggy just to be different? I don't settle for less than the best and that's what i went with, i'm not driving a Sportwerks, OFNA, Duratrax or any other mid-level buggy for a reason, i don't wanna drive at a mid-level pace. The Turmoil, Hyper series and buggies of that nature aren't gonna be seen in the A-Mains of the open/pro classes for a reason, they're not intended to be there.
