The guy is sick and close to loosing his home?
Airplanes and engines aside........it's just a hobby
I will be the first guy to step up and offer a donation to try and help the guy out. Family, home and health is WAY more important than these silly, overpriced toys that we all play with.
I don't know if this is within the rules of RCU or not, but I'd like to start a fund to try and help the guy out. He's been a good modeler, good business man and a good contributor to these forums for years. I know some guys feel taken because they paid for parts or repairs and haven't gotten anything back. Those guys can still be mad if they want too. I guess they have a right to be upset at the $$ lost. But here is a guy who really could use some help right now. Who better to come to his aid than his peers?
Just throwing that out there. I've been on hard times before and I had some TREMENDOUS support from friends locally and here on RCU. Saved me from becoming homeless when I had a 4yr old son in ICU for a week with pneumonia and no money or job to pay for it.
Rather than make stabs at the guy.......couldn't we try and help him out instead? I can spare a few bucks. If 50% of the guys who ever dealt with Scott would send him just $20 it would certainly help. I can blow through $20 on this hobby in a single breath. It's nothing to most of us, but it may just help Scott out from total disaster. And even if it doesn't save him, it will at least buy him some time. Maybe a trip to the grocery store and some gas for his truck..............
