All these planes are looking great guys!
hroachen - Yes and yes. I have run pretty much all of the combos and they all work out very well. However, the GWS motors tend to burn out quicker on the 3s lipos.
tavis - No need for a seperate radio battery. Most electronic speed controllers (ESC's) have circuitry that eliminates the need for a seperate radio battery. It just runs off the motor battery.
See the comprehensive listing on page 4. It lists everything you need and where to get it at a good price. If you use the componants listed, it's pretty fool proof. No need realy for a schematic. Just make sure you always connect positive to positive, and negative to negative. The speed controller plugs into the throttle channel, it has leads that go to the motor, and leads that go to the battery. Everything else is the same as IC aiplanes, just smaller.
The 3 cells in series are charge as a single battery (all at once) 2 paralleled batteries (cell packs;3s2p) need to be charged as 2 batteries.
www.b-p-p.com has a chrger that will charge 2 "packs" at once, but there is a 2 month waiting list for it.
I can't take the credit for creating this type of style or airplane type. Others have been doing it for quite a while. I have however been building with fan fold and building these types of planes for 2 years or so.
