I use a little of each.

I really like the 2.4 receivers that futaba has, so I went that route. After a futaba switch failure I went with the Heavy Duty JR gold and it has been perfect. For servos, I like certain servos from JR, Futaba, Hitec, and even airtronics.

Try to match the application to the best, regardless of brand.
