Default Lesson learned the expensive way

Just as an FYI so everyone can learn from my mistake, I have 2 OS 50 sx which I had on my my Nitroplanes Cessna Skymaster. For the last 4 weeks Ive been having nothing but problems with these engines just not running right. No matter what I did these engines just wouldnt idle. Ive had problems with these motors before and assumed that the problems I had were back. After much frustration I decided to just get new motors. 55AX was my choice but as I put them on my plane, the same problem occured. Frustrated I tried a fresh can of fuel from the hobby store and voila, Motors ran great. I tried the new fuel in my both of my 50 sx and they seem to run well now.

I thought that there was no way that my fuel could be the problem with an engine that would not run right but it was. My guess is that storing my fuel in a hot garage for a long period of time, did in my fuel and made it ineffective for use in my motors. Similar problems had been seen in some of my other motors but I just adjusted the motor and all was well. I guess I should have thought that the fuel was bad sooner. So now I have two new 55 AX and two old 50 SX that Im not sure what to do with.

So store your fuel in a cool place.
