Traski, a 1/2 Cuban 8 is 5/8 inside loop (starting right side up) and when you are heading 45 degrees down in the opposite direction you a half-roll, then finish with 1/8 inside loop to level.
A 1/2 REVERSE cuban 8 is what you said; 1/8 loop to 45 degree line, roll inverted, then 5/8 inside loop, ending level.
Nice to see you competing in a 'pattern' event! I wish more people knew what this was and tried it; it will challenge you and seriously improve your flying skills.
