Default RE: Engine oils

Thanks Tim , thats just the sort of feedback I was hoping for. I will obtain some when I get back to Autralia and try it with confidence.

Thanks, too, to all the guys who responded. Although I know about the DTE oils etc. I am trying to find a non toxic oil which will meet the requirements of ALL engine manufacturers and as NYCO oils meet all the specs. of oils such as ASTO 500/550 Mobil 2 and BP 2380 Turbonycol 600 may fit the bill perfectly, and it seems to be quite cheap !

Having flown a B757 with an engine oil leak just before I lost my licence and seen my best mate, also flying the 757, lose his licence with OP poisoning, I dont think we can treat toxicity lightly, a particularly as we seem to have an oil available which does the job without compromise AND without the toxicity.

Again thank you all for your input, RCU at its best.

Regards,

David Gladwin.
