ORIGINAL: apple718 I. Prob ran the damn thing only a few times its soo cheap that even the screws used to screw the engine on the engine mount broke I mean everything on that thing was bad I would take it out and a new problem would accour but I have to give it to them they are fast anyways I sold mine yest because it was a piece of junk in my opinion and redcat claims to have a great warrenty but when my gas tank was leaking I called them up and they told me to send it the old one and they will inspect it and told me I have to pay for the shipping which cost more than a new gas tank and if you order from redcatracing.com they messed up my order 3 times......wow never again bad bad bad I suggest anyone who wants a redcat racing car don't even think about it put a lil more money and get a traxxxs or somthning because you will end up spending money fixing the damn thing after every run
i'm not tryin to change your mind, you obviously had a bad experience, bit let give you some perspective on it.
I've sold hindreds of redcat cars, all he models and hundreds of other brands, but the ones I see the most returning with problems needing work or always broken down are the traxxas cars. 95% of the repair work I do in my shop is traxxas cars, tranmission problems, engine probles, easy start(what a piece of cra* that is) problems, servo problems and the list goes on and on. the minimum bill hasn't been under at least $100 that's the smallest bill on parts and one hour labor @ $15. if you honestly think that your gonna be better off with a traxxas or whatever you choose your way way off base. every brand has it's problems and some problems are more expensive to fix than others.
