RE: BME 58 Extreme
I am back from getting in two flights on the BME. All went very well and the motor ran like a charm. Knife Edge, inverted flying and many up lines and all went well. The mid range did not have any issues as T-rolling was very easy to control. I did not re-adjust my CG for the drop in weight and it was not too bad. The only time you knew the CG was off was inverted flying at a faster pace and the plane was on its own sheet of music to do a slow outside loop. Since the motor is breaking in I had oil all over the place and this caused my pipe to come loose at the coupler on my last flight. Not sure how to tackle that issue while she breaks in. I also was running a mix on my 9x for the throttle. The motor was around 7350 on my hot landing of the 1st flight. The idle will go down to 1100 but I flew at 1650 with a bump up on the gear to 1800 until all has been tested and broken in.
