Was that with a 6x3 apc?

I've check the transferports of the newer version and the ports in the case are now matching the ones in the liner.
Mine has a clear sideways slop in the bearings and not much of a pinch at TDC for brand new ABC engine, I've had tighter iron/steel ones...
