Wowonly TWO mid-airs in thirty years!! When I was still on the buddie box nine years ago, I thought I came close to another plane. My instructor told me not to worry, mid-airs just never happen. He said he'd been flying for 20 years and never had one. Well almost nine years later, I've had ELEVEN !!! Of course two were pylon racing and one was rc combat, so I'd say those really don't count. But the other eight were plane and simple MID-AIRS ! Here's pics of a couple. Just goes with the hobby, I guess. Like some of us say"If ya can't stand to loose oneDon't put it in the air" The Chipmunk had a mid-air with a heli. Sounded like 8 or 10 kids hitting a Pinata all at once, and the heli flew back and landedNO damage. Such is life.
