I was a rookie too and I decided to get a cheap car to learn how to control it and learn some stuff about settings with nitroengines. My choice was a Kyosho DBX 1/10. It's a easy car to tune and drive. However If I could I would have bought an HoBao/OFNA Hyper 7 since it seems much more durable (or however its spelled). My DBX have broken the front arms like 4-5 times now and its getting expensive. I dont know if there is some alu-parts that I can use instead. However I would have bought a Hyper 7 RTR

(Not that DBX is bad, i really love the way it handles for a RTR).
