They won't work - at least for very long. I had a look at doing this but they just will not take the strain. There are a few ways of doing other conversions that keep the sound board but put in proper ESCs etc and I am currently in process of fitting the electrics from a FO Tamiya Pershing which will handle the power. I bought a complete pershing off the place we are not meant to mention and am currently stripping it for the electrics. Once done I will sell off the hull, running gear and other bits to somebody who wants to build a static or stick HL electrics in it which will get some of the money I spent on the tank back - hopefully

If you go over to the Stuart Boards on Yahoo there is quite a lot there on this conversion along with the other one mentioned previously in the thread by 971wright. They are a helpful bunch and really into the M5s
