ESC: 2X Hobbywing 18amp Brushless ESC
Battery: 1800mah 3 Cell 11.1V 15C Lithium Polymer Battery
Whatever will match the above! (Bananahobby specs)
Opinions on motors vary: Here is some posts of modified ones to help:
I finally was able to get a video of my A-10.
Again, the configuration here is two 4400KV motors with 20 amp ESCs, GWS 55mm rotors and powered by two TP 1320 mah 3S batteries, each connected to one of the ESCs. The throttle endpoint was adjusted to limit the maximum current to 16.5 amps per motor. Flying weight is 26 oz. The video is about 2 minutes edited from the full flight that was about 4 minutes long (including takeoff and landing taxi time) and took about 500mah from the batteries that were slightly warm after the flight.

The parts from Hong Kong arrived, including two each 4400 KV motors and 20A ESCs. The only problem I had installing the motors with the GWS adapters and fans was that the fans are very tight on the adapter shafts. I can't push them on far enough for the front screw to engage. I wonder if it needs the screw for security or if the fit is so tight that it is not needed. Does anyone have a trick for getting these all the way on?
In any case, I ran one of the motors on a 3S 2100 battery (the $20 one from Hong Kong) and it pulled 25 amps and produced an insane amount of thrust. I didn't measure it, but two of these will make the A-10 go like a rocket. I suspect it would fly just fine on one. Now I need to decide on the battery setup. I can either run my existing TP 1320's at partial throttle to keep the current below the battery 17 amp limit, get two 1300 20C 3S batteries, get a single 2500 20C battery, use the A123 cells as others have done, or go to some kind of two cell setup. Any suggestions? Is anyone else using the 4400KV motors on 3S LiPOs in this plane?
