RE: Plane ideas - Your thoughts?
If you read my post on the Ocean City Air Fest, well, one of the pilots had a modified Goldberg Tiger II electric conversion.
He removed a rib or two from the wing, then lengthened the fuselage a bit, then increased the size of both the elevator and rudder. And, he intentionally built it very light.
This plane is absolutely amazing. He is Master Class Pattern and is not afraid of flying this plane with his level pattern sequences and practices with it on a regular basis.
Bottom line.. Tiger II is an outstanding aircraft. A very nice conversion, by the way. If you want information on the conversion, I can ask Ron and I'm sure he will be willing to provide the information.
But, that's for someone that is somewhat advanced because of the modifications required, however, the ARF Tiger II or the kit, for that matter, is an excellent choice. My second plane was a Tiger 60 and I flew that thing for quite a long time and eventually sold it to someone that still has it and still flys it.
