probably not - lower wing loading and or a little aft shift in CG maybe.
Also - chop the throttle .
the deep sinking maneuver works best with a short (low aspect ratio ) wing very low weight and about 45 degrees up and low or no thrust.
If you are trying to hold the attitude under power you must use lots of rudder -instant correction to stop ANY yawing.
It's a learned thing
play with it - you will get it.
