I was thinking about the 140 pump set up on my 160 . . but I have found the Perry to be fine.

A friend has th e 140 pump with the OS pipe and 18.1 x 10 APC. I am using Perry VP30, Aeroslave pipe and 17 x 12 APC.

Notable differences . .
The OS pipe is louder . . the 18.1 x 10 prop seems more noisy (although it has other benefits) . . and it uses a LOT more fuel ! ! (don't know why but it is a lot). I use about 9oz per F3A P09 schedule and his uses about 12oz to fly Sportsman [X(] . . and they are both tuned !

Throttle management could be some of it . .
