Default RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

ORIGINAL: HerrSavage

Yeah, knuckles, that what I meant..

My main prob with the Hyper so far has been the stupid CNC knuckles.. Both sides had the screws strip out - by themselves.. And yep - threadlocked everything.. Fixed it by runninga a screw the other way through with a nut on the bottom.. Quite a few here in Germany have had problems too.. Seems problem number 1 in one of the main forums..

I've been keeping my eyes out for some CEN ones..

(not mine..)

Geez HerrSavage it looks like someone sold you some cast aluminum knuckles and spray painted them to look like the CNC ones!
I haven't broken mine yet and I've cartwheeled off a jump all the way across the track over at Rev and also hit a sprinkler post coming off a jump. This truck is sure tough! The most problems I've seen here is the diffs and the gas tank. The diffs tend to leak. You have to get them filled just right. The gas tank tends to feed air bubbles into the engine thus running lean. It turns out that the screw on the lid sucks and does not let the rubber o-ring seal the tank properly thats why people shoot for the mugen tank. I'm still running the original tank. I just placed a bigger screw and washer on the lid to replace the small stock screw. That is what tends to strip thus not allowing you to expand the o-ring and seal the lid. I have to say that now I have my truck dialed in just right. I've been practicing and racing and its been great. Haven't had any issues and the Picco .28 is a beast. Now I'm going to try a 10k/20k/5k setup on this truck and see how it drives. I had 7k/20k/2k and the rear breaks loose really quick. Too much power![>:]
