You should push the ign buton first...then bump the air and crack the propane. Once it "pops" - starts, open the propane and air slowly but simultaneously as you can blow out the flame with too much air. At the Fuel Ramp statement you should have both air and propane open fully. Lastly it should state "running' before you should disconnect.
