RE: Help! E-flite pitts model 12 25e
I have not gotten mine in the air yet but it is ready for that. I had no issues balancing mine at 3 7/8" CG with the Power 25 and 2 3S 2200mAh batteries. No added tail weight required. (Rudder and Elevator servos are HS225BB).
One item I did note when I did check the manual was that you must ensure your measurement is from the "flat" portion of the top wing (center - above the fuselage). I had to stop for a second when the plane was sitting on my balancer set to 3 7/8" and the vertical pins didn't touch the leading edge of the wing. (It is a great planes balancer I just bought vs. the two finger approach). Maybe something I should have anticipated but I haven't been in the hobby that long. (12 mos which includes our nice Michigan winter months.)
My work schedule is crazy (good thing in this economy) so I will probably be next week before I get the test flight done. I looking forward to it but will be cautious given this posting. I am hopeful it will be as much fun as my GP Yak-54 EP which is an absolute blast to fly.
