As strictly an OS user the only power I need is from my glow starter, which is rechargeable. I keep that and a chicken stick in my cargo pocket and can start my plane anywhere - if it cuts out during taxi, or if no one's around and I need to start on the field, I can. If it doesn't start right up, something needs to be worked on, and avoiding doing the work and forcing it to start with an electric starter could be catastrophic.
