Deaspite the fowl weather the contest was great!

Sunday mornings first round was eventful for me,..as the conopy hatch on the Partner ejected the front pins on the canopy hatch, resulting in a canopy departure as I was pulling into the the reverse Humpty. No damage was done to either the plane or the canopy,..the canopy was actually blown back to the field and landed in the center of the runway,..how lucky was that.

The pins were replaced quickly and off to round two we went.
Conrats to all the pilots, the winners, runner ups' and the Dist Champions for 2008. We even had a FAI pilot to compete that came all the way from Alaska. I can't wait for 2009s' season to start.

Thanks to all the pilots that traveled long distances within the district to compete.
Thanks to Blair Page the contest CD and the Flying Tigers Club for hosting the Dist2 Championships,...well done!
Best Regards,
Bill Holsten
