I have an SPE43 that uses a champion RCJ6Y plug. I've switched to an Rcexl ignition that has a boot for the champion RDJ8J plug which has a smaller socket.The threads and depth are the same for both plugs.Ive swapped to the 8J plug so that I can use the rcexl ignition system.
Does anyone know if there will be any performance shortfall or change in engine characteristics? I notice the 6Y does have its spark point further than the 8J.
