Sorry there HummrH I've been stuck working on darn PC's this last few weeks and haven't gotten on here to much...........its not your pull start M8 its the one way bearing probably, thats the only thing that slips. If you very carefully remove the pull start and then the bearing (make sure you see which way the bearing goes on, put it on backwards it won't work) clean it with carb cleaner real well and wipe off the shaft on the crank and your problem should be gone.
