Thanks for your replies.Joe,as for my definition of "better steering" I mean as in turning radius.It turns a full 180DEGS in a space of 262" that in my mind is pretty poor.Any ideas for a tighter turn would go down a treat.
I have put a few pics up of the lock-to-lock to give you an idea of the steering.

use a longer servo horn for more throw. or mess with your endpoints (if you have them) to turn sharper

Also, get a BEC set for 6V. it looks like you just may need more power to the servo.

Post a pic from the top with the body and front wheels off. I want to see what holes you are using for mounting the steering links
