Default RE: Oh my God.....OPS pattern engine

ORIGINAL: martenson

I just finished one of my pattern ships.
It's 9 PM here in Sweden but I just had to try this nice OPS i bought second hand for just $100.
It has perry carb and backplate with perry pump, OPS elbow and Robbe carbon pipe.
I ran it with a Zinger 11x7,5 and 80/20% FAI fuel.

It was to dark to get a tach reading and I did not get it up on the pipe.
But to morrow or Saturday I will get some readings.

What do you guy's think it would turn??

P.S it's a readhead 60 size engine with unknow run time.

Martenson, I am envious of your building skills. Particularly when it comes to applying the finish. Very, very beautiful.

However, I am stumped as to which model that is?

I'll bet your OPS will swing that lumber at 14 - 14.250 when the pipe and needles are set for perfect flying. He's running FAI fuel, so I don't expect anything near 15k rpm, but I'm not expert in this area, that's for sure.

***I just read the later posts and I realize that your Dad built the model. Well, I'm still envious of you for owning it and for having such a talented father.
