RE: nitro models ultimate bipe
The covering on this plane LOOKs great.
However as with most Asian arf's ( and with many Arfs for that matter ) the adhesive tends to give with repeated exposure to glow fuel.
I regularly spray Top Flight Clear Coat spray on my Asian Arf's to cure this minor problem.
2-3 coats will do it ( just not on anything clear )....
Buff the covering with a plastic dish pad to roughen it.
Then apply 2-3 coats allowing 15 minutes between coats.
Let dry 48 hours then buff again.
This cures the problem and permits the trim to hold up well.
The newer Version "2" models ( they orangy ones ) seem to hold up better. The edges where the trim ends and the wood begins, seem to be painted to seal these areas. It seems to work, though I'd still apply the Top Flite.
I also looked at putting in a gasser into the 1.20.
I opted NOT to do so because the extreme rake of the cowl would force me to practically expose the entire engine.... so for aestetics I opted for a different engine.
