I also have a DX6i with a 6200 receiver in an Eflite T-34 Mentor. I setup the 40 Amp ESC according to directions but if I cut the transmitter off before the reciever the electric motor comes on full speed. I realize you are not supposed to cut off the transmitter 1st. I am trying to stop this action in case the planes loses contact with the transmitter. I would appreciate any help with this. Is it in the receiver circuitry or the ESC ?
Thanks,
Jay
Sounds like you may have your failsafe position backwards for your throttle. I've seen a couple of guys at the field do this when they had to reverse their throttle servo after they bound it and forgot to re-bind after. Try re-binding the receiver to the transmitter with the throttle in the closed position, this should reset your failsafe position.
