Default RE: What I worked on this weekend!

Hey Pat, my "RPM device" hooks up to a Dremel and I use a standard tach for RPM, I will try with half the teeth and see if it makes any difference on the intairco tire for giggles, but having spent about 60 hours working on this over the last few days, all I can say is the BV tire itself is simply better suited for a two piece rim than the intairco tire.

If anyone is going to want some of these wheels, I think it would be better to take the wheels and put a BV tire on it. I have ordered this morning a bunch of different sizes of the BV tire to run some testing.

There were reports that changing tires on the Lightning was a big pain and couldn't really be done at home. With this design you will be able to put a BV Mig 15 tire on the rim in 10 minutes or less with no straining of any kind, simply tighten down the screws.

Plus with the lathe and mill, I should be able to make a better looking rim than what is out there for the lightning

Thanks for the input! It was a thread about 3 months ago that I asked what the ultimate rim would be, and this is what we came up with from RCU community suggestions.
