I think that the rocker cover was first contact with the ground. Both valves stems are bent back about 20 degrees.

Off the end of the runway where I crashed, the ground drops off and I lost sight of the plane just before it hit the ground and then this geyser of yellow monokote came up from over the edge. I was trying out some yellow tinted googles over my glassed. It was a cloudy day and the mix didn't work out. I lost orentation and punched the throttle and pulled up and that was two things I shouldn't have done. A big cork screw into the ground.
