I believe that the people that try to put a negative spin on successful companies and business are probably just jealous of someone else's success
So there it is.....
Now I get it. There's obviously some kind of 'negative' value to being made in Asia. Especially, if one of your battle cries has long been how lousy it is to manufacture jet kits over there. Trust me, I've 'taken one for the team' on many, many occasions, due to selling Asian-made products. Everything from cheap-shots from Reps to guilt-trips about perpetuating slavery, all right here on RCU!
Now, this isn't directed at you personally, Doug, but what kind of nonsense is it to think that the person who would be buying a product shouldn't ask (or have the right to know) where it's made--especially, if the 'Made in the U.S.A.' sticker is part of the explanation for the pricetag?? What about the individual who wants to 'buy American' and assumes from past commentary that all of 'Mfgr. A' products are made in the U.S.? Shouldn't he have the right to know?
It doesn't bother me a bit, one way or the other. One thing I will say, though, is that the 'Made in the USA' sticker has been one of the factors that justified the pricetag TO ME when I buy BVM products (and I do). I'm just hoping that this offshore move means less grief for me about selling Asian-made kits.
Anyway, I'm still in awe of the silence. Almost as much as I'm in awe of the "please don't use my name" caveats in half of the NINE messages I've gotten about the country of manufacture. I can envision the hushed tones, trembling fingers and sweaty foreheads.... What's he gonna do, show up at your house with a couple of Reps with axe-handles? See you at a meet and invite you to sit in the back of a black sedan with a plastic tarp covering the seats?? I have yet to see this sinister side to BV that causes such abject fear in people (well, maybe I will now......... :stupid: )
