Default RE: Your opinion on 3 Seabees

ORIGINAL: JET FX

K&W are the manufacturers, 3 Sea Bees are the U.S. dealers/distributors. If your looking for traditionally built classic scale aircraft these are probably some of the best pre-built (ARF) models on the market from what I have seen and heard. Their Stearman is on my wish list...

Cheers- Marty
I'm attaching I hope some pics of my 3 Seabees Stearman. I bought the airplane from them a few years ago. It it was a goodt experience and the airplane itself iis truely a fine piece of work. And it's not even the museum scale version that thy offer on some of their kits.
I sopke w/ someone out there to get the info and to place the order. It took a while to get it because I wanted the "Recall" scheme, so they had to make it for me. My recollection is that it took around eight months or so for delivery.
Asembly questions were dealt with by telephone calls and they were very responsive. The reason it's hanging in my office is that to get the wings (four panels) on and off requires more than 50 bolts, nuts, screws, clevises, turnbuckles etc. I don't have a trailer so I'd have to assemble/disassemble it every time I want to take it out.
Bottom line based on this one they have great products and I found that 3 Seabees was a good outfit to do business with. Be aware that you're at the very top of the ARF food chain when it comes to their stuff.
