Hey I picked up one of those recently as well, I only got the haul with motor and hardware, for $18 at an antique shop. The motor was dead so I found an old Fox 25 marine engine that I am going to put in, I know they are only designed for a 10 - 19 but a little extra power never hurts I started to redo it today, I removed all the hardware and sanded the bottom of the haul down and used some bondo to fillet in around the stuffing box on the bottom, the previous owner had some silicone around it. I then painted the underside with some white epoxy paint. I am going to leave the top open and make a windshield for it so that it looks like an old runabout we used to have. I noticed while sanding the haul that where there was some chipping on the edge between the side and top there is a small crack, I would assume I can fix it by laying down some fiberglass on the inside and then use some glassing resin on the outside to fill in the chip?
