all excellent posts on oil, thanks guys.
I have a different question that I'm sure has been answered somewhere back in the 130-some-odd pages of this forum which I don't have time to search for (sure wish RCU would come up with a "search thread" option).
How have you guys installed a smoke system on the stock pipe?
How many minutes run time per oz of fuel? I'm considereing a 16oz tank and 10oz smoke tank.
Thanks in advance.
Smoke in a stock muffler..
Here's how I did it...
Find the nipple you would like to use...any old fuel nipple from an engine will do.
Figure out what size the threaded end is ..I used a drill guide to get a rough guess
Drill a hole in the muffler 1 size smaller than the size you determined in the previous step.... Room for error here
Ensure where you drill is going to be the hottest place in the muffler, usually in line with the exhaust opening so the oil will pass right thru the fire
Use a 10/32 tap to thread the hole in the muffler
Test fit fuel nipple
If its sung, not tight its good
Apply High Temp silicone gasket maker to threads of fuel nipple(found at Ace or automotive store, or wal mart maybe)
Screw snugly into muffler
Wait for silicone to dry
Install Tygon line to nipple
Start engine and smoke out your neighborhood!!!!!!!
Run time is hit or miss, you gotta play with your pump settings quite a bit but gassers smoke like crazy!!
Remember!!! Too much oil will cool it down so dont add more oil if you want more smoke...
Hope it helps!!
