Thanks for the info! The same time I posted that question here I also emailed Bob from DL. Here's what he said...

The stock muffler metal is too thin to be tapped but a barbed fitting and support nut can be fitted (even better to also have JB Weld too) for smoke. It works best when a brass pipe is installed inside the barbed fitting to extend into the muffler to help pre-heat the smoke oil. The JTec does not come with an oil port but one can be fitted similarly.
So exactly where would you drill and tap or mount that fitting? I took a picture to ask this question..

To me Bob's explanation makes it seem like I should put that barb in the "pencil" location and run a brass tube over to the flame area.
But I don't know how I would get a nut on the other side of that barb in that location. I guess I've answered my own question here. I'll think I'll just use a nut and maybe even a 1/2" brass tube to get that oil to come out right in the flame.
