RE: KC/P160SX First Flights
Thanks for the discussion gang. I got the 160 SX out to our flying field today and made several starts with it. Uaccel1 was dialed down to .175 volts and the start was what I consider normal with much reduced flame. I then went to .150 volts and saw nearly the same start characteristics. So why not!?? I went to .125 volts thinking it would have a real slow start and again a normal successful start with about the same flame level as at .175 volts. Not knowing if the low voltage at .125 volts would result in problems down the road I dialed .175 volts back in and made my final start. Result was much reduced flaming and a good start. This time I went to max throttle and held it there to burn off the remainder of the fuel in the tank. You can literally watch the fuel level drop! This engine does love fuel at full throttle. I'll be leaving Uaccel1 at .175 volts.
