Default RE: servo to control rod options?

ORIGINAL: rcplanenut

4-40 rods with a ball link attached to an aluminum servo arm and a soldered on threaded coupler (Dubro #336) with a metal clevis (Sullivan #S526) on the other end. Use silver solder on the couplers, all should be availible at your LHS. I've never had one fail yet. This is a cheap way to do it and works well for me but there are many other ways to do it, (H9 titaniam links, carbon fiber links...) just my opinion
That is an option I considered but would like to find something easier. The 4-40 rods are heavy, do I need that size with a 6.5lbs 3D plane? All rods will be short (less than 6").
