Large or small it looks like the B-29 was intended to kick butt. Hardwood indeed! Clair must have been one heck of a pilot to even get it airborn. It's a wonder those poor little Enyas didn't blow their cylinder heads off!

Flew the KYO B-36 with 2 os and 4 Enya 19 engines, Two laps for takeoff and 10 laps level and mercifully then 2 engines would quit and I'd set up for a landing with a lap roll out. Shame I had to leave it when I rotated back to the states.
