It will turn on a dime, but to do comforatable slow laps at low-level I would recomend a space about 150' X 150' as a minimum. I regularly exercise my dog by letting him chase the easy star around my back yard.
more likely you will take yours above the trees and are really just looking for a space to launch and land? If you just need a space to land probably the minimum opening in the trees might be 100' long by 20' wide. Sometimes I land my easy on my street or driveway with no problem in low winds. it really is that percise that an experianced flyer can land on a neighborhood street without hitting the neighbors mailbox, or land in a driveway without hitting the garage.
You could very easily fly it on a ball field.
