Since the Hyper ST is deemed as a heavy truggy, what are you guys doing to get over this? Any weight saving? Or just living with it?

I remember reading somewhere in this forum that some one had tried the Hyper 7 carbon fiber shock towers which do fit. There are pictures posted as well. That same person made the hyper 7 chassis braces and the hyper 7 upper plate fit. I haven't been able to find the carbon fiber towers so I would assume that they could be cut out of some carbon fiber sheet. I don't know how that project ended or how much more of a performance gain that provided. Rob Bender from Nitrohouse supposedly had some weight reduction projects line up for this truck. I have to check with him and see what he came up with. If I find out I will post. He runs the truggy with an old Ninja .21 and has no problems pushing the truck around. Now I believe he is using a Jammin .28 or a Picco .28. If this truggy was a lot lighter it would definitely be a lot better. It's sad to see that most of the Hyper st trucks that had pictures posted here have now ended up on ebay. I'm still going to hang on to mine but like Herrsavage I will be getting an RC8T.
