Default RE: Help! E-flite pitts model 12 25e

Has anyone tried a glow engine in this one? I haven't looked into an engine yet but I was thinking about a small 4 stroke. Nothing against electric I just like the sound of a 4 stroke.

I have a GP Super Stearman bi plane. I was having the same problem with the incidence. This is what I learned...it's best to use the incidence meter (I use the Robart) while building any plane especially a bi plane.
This is the procedure that I'm going to use from now on. Attach the lower wing in position...level the plane so that the meter reads zero also make sure it's level laterally. Install the horizontal stab per the instruction, make sure it’s “0” and leveled laterally to the lower wing. Measure the wing tips to horizontal stab tips as usual.
Now that the front and back wing are set check the fit of the upper wing, the incidence is usually “0” but check it to make sure. If you can’t find the incidence in the manual call the plane manufactures tech support they should know it. After you got it set right screw upper wing down per the instructions. Now double check again that all the incidences are a correct.
As far as the CG, I would start with it a little forward. If for no other reason to make sure you have a good landing.
Hope this helps!
