Default RE: Engine for a stik 40

Fly boy2,

I have a couple of "Ugly Stiks" . They are 40 size. The OS.46la is not very powerful. I bought one a year ago on an impulse and I am still trying to figure out what to do with it. It is too weak for a 40 size and I don't want to fly anything smaller.
On my Main Stik I have a Magnum XLS.46. I use an APC 10x7 prop. I am getting 12700 to 13000 RPM's ( on the too lean side) My verticals are pretty good. I mean they are not unlimited. But they ain't bad for a 6LBS plane with thick symetrical wings. I also have a couple of Evolution .46NT's. These are good engines from my experiences. I use Omega 10%.

Good luck
Frank
