The loop side is the one that feels like wool. The hook side is the one that feel like a rasp. If you are wrapping it around a curve, always use the loop as it is flexible. Also use velcro with heavy duty adhesive. GP carries them but you can get longer lengths elsewhere, probably cheaper too.
