Hook and Loop Velcro

The loop side is the one that feels like wool. The hook side is the one that feel like a rasp. If you are wrapping it around a curve, always use the loop as it is flexible. Also use velcro with heavy duty adhesive. GP carries them but you can get longer lengths elsewhere, probably cheaper too.

Sorry, but Minnflyer is the one who knows everything.
By the way, did you know that velcro was fashioned after a small "burr" that grows wild? I remember getting them on my clothes as a kid. They're small round brown balls that are covered with "hooks", and they stick to the weave of clothes like heck. Real hard to pull off.

OK, since someone else brought it up...
I just relocates the battery pack in my Ultra Sport 40+ to the fuselage, just aft of the wing saddle. Because of space limitations, I reconfigured my battery pack from flat to square. Not much room here, so I applied some "Industrial Strength" velcro to the fuse floor and to the battery pack and stuck it in. I did put a chunk of foam between the top of the battery pack and the control rod sleeves. Not alot of pressure on the sleeves of course, I just wanted something to keep the Velcro pressed together. A little dab of silicone adhesive between the battery and the foam and one were the foam sits against the control rod housings and I think I'm OK.
Will the velcro provide any sort of vibration dampening between the fuse and the battery pack? I did not have room to wrap the foam right around the battery.

I guess the velcro might supply some damping affect, but i wouldn't worry all that much about vibration and the battery pack. I mean, I DO wrap mine whenever possible, but have never seen damage on an unwrapped one.
It IS important to wrap the tank and receiver though!
