My preference would be pull start as I don't like the idea of having to charge more batteries and carry more equipment just to start the engine, also the worry of the rotor start batteries running out. Fair enough sometimes the pull start string may snap but that's fixed with some spare lighting string and if you don't pull to long then they should last awhile anyway. So for me the pull start seems more practical.
