I have been working on extensively lightening my truck, milling the chassis, carbon parts, lighter shocks, etc. I am looking at chopping around 260 to 300 grams off by the time I am done. Should then be around the same weight or lighter than the new gen of truggies out there. It can only be good, for performance, handling and run times.
Post some pics of your progress that way most of us can also try what you have. A lighter Hyper truck will definitely great. It has great steering but I was spoiled by the Losi 8t. Even with everything installed and with fuel in the tank it was definitely lighter than my Hyper st Pro. I decided to keep my truck and keep racing it for the time being. I've been contemplating the change to an RC8T and saving the Hyper ST for my son but I'm not giving up just yet. If someone here can definitely add to this then I will keep racing the Hyper with mods. I had a good friend of mine that runs on the expert class try my truck so I know that it is a very capable truck.
