RE: TMD Docs
Oh yes, Rajul. Arthur Schoenknect has done his best to correct the problem of a violent swing on take-off and landing with the HobbiStar60. The problem consists :
With the stabilizer incidence set to zero, the swing disappears. But the model then has a severe pitch-up problem in flight. Arthur corrected this with a motor downthrust of 2 degrees. But the real HobbiStar60 has a stabilizer incidence of +2.5 degrees. If this is set in the model without the downthrust, it flies very well indeed - a real pleasure. BUT on the ground in this condition, it is a horror. I can tame it myself by using up elevator during take-off; but any use of the rudder on the ground causes it to pirouette like a ballet star.
I need the doc info desperately for two reasons:
1. The model flies so well in the air with the stabilizer set to +2.5 degrees that I want to produce a second release with the problem fixed.
2. I have big plans for the future (I am a retired Texas Instruments Senior Software Engineer). This TMD info is critical. If I cannot obtain this one way or another, I will have to consider seriously abandoning my investment in AFPD. For this reason, I am also vitally interested in your reply re: local suppliers not re-stocking.
