Default Goldberg Tiger 60 ARF

I'm building one with a friend, as he's never built a plane before.

The kit (ARF) is quite nice, and complete. It goes together quickly enough, but it takes longer when you're explaining things as you go.

The wing is two piece, and stays that way. The two tubes slide in, and the wing bolts and dowels hold it together. After unbolting, the wing comes right apart. Very nice.

The only complaints I have so far, on the building, is that one aileron was slightly warped (very slight), and the vertical fin assembly leaves a small gap on the fuselage at the front of it, and along the sides a bit. We've purchased some Flame Red (what it is) to cover those little gaps, to make it look better.

We also converted it to a Taildragger (instructions in kit, but no parts), and will be installing an OS .91 Fx engine in it. We're fitting a 14 ounce tank instead of the supplied 10 ounce one, because of the bigger engine. It will fit easily. The fuselage is plenty strong, and the wing area will easily accomodate the extra power. We've also got some wheel pants, and the matching paint. It's going to look really nice!

I think this will be a great airplane. Should be done with it next week. I already know the design itself flies well, I expect the same from this one.

We're using a Futaba 6XAS radio in it. Everything installs really easily.

If I had to change anything, I would change the control horns to Dubro single bolt horns, and the 6" extensions the instructions call for are not nearly long enough. Use 12" aileron extensions, and you'll be fine... I can't think of anything else right off I would change.
