thats insane how can boats do 100 kmh but a rc car cannot ,
you may want to do some math. 100kmh is about 63Mph. a Traxxas Nitro 4-tec will do that out of the box. not to mention dragsters easily hit 85Mph. i forgot where i saw it but, there is a video of a Nitro TC4 converted to a LiPo/brushless that is capable of doing 134Mph.
the point being, with proper engine/motor setup and gearing, your capable of doing quite a bit.
